Bookish Academy Tag!

Thank you so much to my blogging and book soul sister Cody, from Literary-ly Obsessed, for tagging me! You're simply the best, Cody! :D

I'd like to tag these lovely people in return:
1. Caro, at Just Another Bookish Blog
2. Diaries of A Book Lover
3. Sinead, at Less Reality, More Books
4. Aeriko, at The Reading Armchair

Here we go! And you can click on the covers at the bottom to read more about these books :)

1. Best Actor:
(Best Male Protagonist)

Daemon Black, from Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series. Oblivion, the book featuring just Daemon's POV, hasn't come out yet, but when it does... :D

2. Best Actress
(Best Female Protagonist)

Hands down, Meghan Chase from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series. She was the beginning of my YA journey, after all...

3. Best Cinematography
(Best Plot Twist)

A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Vincent. Because...well, let's just say that I did not see that coming.

4. Best Costume Design
(Best Book Cover)

I'm going to have to go with The Selection series, by Kiera Cass. Am I a sucker for pretty dresses? Probably.

5. Best Supporting Actor and Actress
(Best Male and Female Sidekick)

Male: Quinn, from C. J. Redwine's Defiance series. I love him to bits.

Female: Isabelle, from Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments series. She is fantastic!

6. Best Original Screenplay
(Most unique plot/world)

Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch. It's an epic high fantasy, with countries based on seasons. That is so cool and original. It's one of my favourites too!

7. Best Adapted Screenplay
(Best Book-to-Movie Adaptation)

Harry Potter. No contest.

8. Best Animated Feature
(A book that would work well animated)

Um... Maybe The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross?

9. Best Director
(A writer you discovered for the first time)

Jennifer Estep, author of the Mythos Academy series. I discovered her on a whim, and her books were pretty good!

10. Best Visual Effects
(Best novella or short book)

Summer's Crossing by Julie Kagawa. Reading from Puck's POV brings a smile to my face like no other.

11. Best Picture
(Best Standalone)

Winterspell, by Clarie Legrand. It's a retelling of The Nutcracker, and is perfect to read during Christmas!

Feel free to do this tag if you haven't been nominated yet! :)

    1. Haha, if I had told you Kat was taken, it wouldn't have been any less devastating! And it's a good thing you have Origin on hand, because when I originally read the series, I had to wait an entire agonizing year!

And I'm sure your bank balance will forgive me one day. All the feels in these books will make up for it one day ;)

Yes! Dark Element Marathon soon. Any date in particular you want to start? :D

    2. I really don't know how you lasted the year, granted you didn't have a choice but seriously that's some dedication and patience!!
I just have 2 more books to go in terms or read/reviews but after that I'm good to go, I really want to start like yesterday but am pretty sure it won't take us long to read 2 books ;), so how long can we resist the pull of Roth? <3

    3. Haha, that is the question, isn't it? Okay, then I'll wait for you to review two more books, and then I'll start The Dark Elements with you. Maybe we should have a co-blogging event with it?

  6. Yay someone else who loves the Iron Fey series! Megan is such a great protagonist :) I really love reading the Call of the Forgotten series (the companion series) and seeing Megan and Ash and Puck all grown up! I can't wait for the last book in that series!

    1. Ahhh, another Iron Fey fan! YES!!! I cannot wait for the last book, though the author has been teasing that it's going to be heartbreaking in some way...
