Cover Reveal: OBLIVION

GUYS GUYS GUYS. The cover for Jennifer L. Armentrout's Oblivion (companion novel to the Lux series) is here!!!
I must say, this is yet another drastically different cover from all the other covers in the Lux series. We have a much more full body image in comparison to the half-body images on the other covers. And this cover is also so much bolder, with the orange, red, and black. Daemon himself seems very...unsuspecting on the cover. Like he has no idea what Katy is about to do to his world...

I'm not going to lie, this cover is nothing like I expected it would be. Then again, I wasn't sure what to expect since the covers of the series has gone through so many changes. This cover is indeed fresh, in a very bold sense, as it captures Daemon's own bold and powerful character, but it's also...different. I don't dislike it; I'm just generally surprised that the publishing team decided to go this route. *Shrugs* Oh well. Not that this will affect the story, of course!

This book comes out December 1st, 2016, so it's not too far away! And if you haven't read the Lux series, you still have tons of time, so do it!

Experience the epic love story of OBSIDIAN as told by its hero, Daemon Black…

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.

And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.

But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.

Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen...

  1. I saw this on facebook first and I was like "That's Oblivion's cover?!?" But now that I've gotten used to it, it's actually really suited to Daemon's POV. This one kind of makes it seem like it's a companion novel rather than part of the Lux series, but I love Daemon's stance, and I agree , it's like he has no idea he's about to get his world rocked by Katy! Can't wait to read this :D

    1. I had the same reaction! Took me a while to get use to it, but I have, so all's good.

  2. I actually like it as it's closer to the original covers than the ugly (sorrynotsorry) new covers. I just hate that the print version is only going to contain the first book from his point of view and the digital one will have all three books. I'd pay extra to have them all in print and hold them in my hands.

    1. Agreed! The new covers were just...meh. Ooh, the print version only has Obsidian in it? What? I didn't know that! I would pay extra too... I'd rather have them all in print...

  3. Since I originally read this series on my kindle I never noticed the covers all that much, my focus was solely on the writing and now I'm not really sure what to think about it all! Though I can't deny that the Daemon on this cover is veeeeery good looking <3 I can't wait for release
