September TBR!

Hi guys! September is rolling in, which probably means it'll start to get cold over here sometime soon. Truth be told, I'm actually hoping it will get colder faster. I don't really enjoy the heat (thank you, heat stroke, for permanently scarring me for life) and I'm always afraid my books will become musty from the humidity. I'm weird, I know. But the health of my books always comes first :)

I did one monthly TBR last year. And...then I stopped  I'm hoping that this time around, I'll actually be able to stick to it! After all, I even made a photo for it, so it would be a shame to not use them.

What's on my September TBR? Basically all the books I didn't finish in August (I admit I might have been a bit ambitious with my August TBR):

The Elemental Trilogy by Sherry Thomas: I love this series. It's one of the best pure YA fantasy series I know. But that being said, I haven't read the final book yet, even though I counted the days down to its release. And now it's been a year...shame on me! So I'm rereading the first two to get the best experience when I read the final book. And let me tell you, this series is MAGICAL, no pun intended. It is pure amazing.

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare: Again, another book I counted down the days to its release, but still haven't read. I'm horrible, I know. I've heard there are numerous versions of this book! My copy comes with an illustration of the entire crew on the back of the dust cover. What about you guys?

The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine: Okay, I have no excuse for not reading this one. It physically pains me to say that this book is on my Most Anticipated 2016 reads, yet I still haven't read it. It's time to fix this, because Redwine is one of my favourite authors!

Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas: I know I'm a bit late on the Throne of Glass train (I oddly didn't enjoy Throne of Glass as much as other people did the first time I read it) and finally picked up Crown of Midnight late last year (which I loved). And then I read the first three chapter of this book while in vacation in Hong Kong, but never came back to finish it because I wanted to wait a bit longer before finishing it. Think about it this way: once Empire of Storms comes out, everyone's going to be waiting another year for the final (!!!) book to come out. If I take my time reading the series, I can reduce the time spend agonizing for the next book, right? It's not like this logic is heavily flawed or anything. Then again, if I finish this book and find myself NEEDING the next book, I am fully prepared to hunt down a copy of Queen of Shadows!

And that it for my September TBR! What about you guys? Have you read any of these books before? What did you think about them? What's on your TBR? I'd love to know!

    1. Oh phew, I'm not the only one! ToG wasn't really mind-blowing, but my mind frame completely changed when I read Crown of Midnight. And now...onto Heir of Fire, hahaha!

    1. ACK, you lost the book while moving? That's horrible! I'm so sorry to hear. I really hope you'll find it soon! Lost books are nightmares D:

  3. I didn't know that Shadow Queen was the penultimate book to the series! Maybe I'll finally start the series. I have the same messed up logic as you; I didn't want to start the series until I the majority of the books were out. I haven't read The Elemental Trilogy, but it has been on my TBR for a while. Good luck with your TBR Erika! :D
