The highly anticipated sequel to the instant New York Timesbestseller that critics are calling “out-of-this-world awesome.”
Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed.
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.
Once again told through a compelling dossier of emails, IMs, classified files, transcripts, and schematics, Gemina raises the stakes of the Illuminae Files, hurling readers into an enthralling new story that will leave them breathless.

I definitely agree with you; the layout of Gemina was stunning! I think that they did a lot better with the mixed media in the second book. I loved Marie Lu's drawings!! I cannot wait for the last book, but I'm also so sad. It's one of my favorite series out right now!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? The layout of this book topped Illuminae. I'm so sad there's only one more book left too! Honestly, for a series like this, there should be at least 5 books!
DeleteGreat review! I can't wait for the third book!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can't wait for the third book too. Why was it pushed to March??? That's so far away! D:
DeleteThis series is so fun and twisty and pretty. I can’t wait for the third book. Great review!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thanks! I cannot wait to see what the authors come up with in the next book :)
DeleteOh my gosh... I still haven't gotten to this series! :( I really need to hurry up and do so! Great review!
ReplyDeleteNo need to worry! The next book doesn't come out until next spring, so you have tons of time :) Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did!
DeleteI can't wait to read Gemina! I loved Illuminae so much that I'll re-read that one first :)
ReplyDeleteAh, you're in for a real treat! Gemina is just as mind blowing as Illuminae, arguably even more so!
DeleteAhhhh how amazing was this book? I fell head over heels in love with the main characters, the plot twits were insane.
ReplyDeleteI kind of freaked out a little bit about Aidan being back again.
I am so ready for Obsido, why must we wait so long? Ahhhhh Literary-ly Obsessed
Right? Except Obsido comes out next year instead of this fall, so I'm kind of sad. But that just might mean it's going to be even better than these two! So excited!!!
