It's going to take me an entire year to piece my heart back together, and I'm certain once that year has passed and the next book comes out, my heart will be broken all over again. But that's okay, since I live to read to have my heart broken repeatedly ;)Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06763730567652893251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8031575485604990008.post-66428478994411134852016-07-24T14:56:25.215-04:002016-07-24T14:56:25.215-04:00Haha, no worries. Thank you so much for commenting, especially since you took the time to comment even though you didn't read the full post :)
Julie Kagawa is hands down one of my favourite authors too! Her Iron Fey series was actually what propelled me into my book-reading life. Though I must admit, of all her other series (Iron Fey, Blood of Eden, Call of the Forgotten, and Talon), Talon is my least favourite. It's still good, just not mind-blowingly amazing like her Iron Fey or heart breaking like her Blood of Eden. It just feels like its missing that bigger fantasy feel to it compared to the others!Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06763730567652893251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8031575485604990008.post-44193863541368473592016-07-20T08:53:36.345-04:002016-07-20T08:53:36.345-04:00Eighteen pieces?? The effects that good books can have, right??
I'm so happy that you really enjoyed this though!! Now...hopefully time flies so that you can get that next book ASAP!Geraldine @ Corralling Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08736170042008371323noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8031575485604990008.post-87766951456435469752016-07-20T04:49:11.700-04:002016-07-20T04:49:11.700-04:00Ever since reading - and absolutely loving - Julie...Ever since reading - and absolutely loving - Julie Kagawa's The Iron Fey series, I've been considering her one of my favorite authors.
The problem? When I started reading Talon, I got to about 50% of the book before... quitting. The book was, dare I say it, almost boring. The insta-love aspect was just... I can't deal with insta-love.
Still, I have two more trilogies by Julie Kagawa to read. I just need to be in the right mindset for it because... well, Julie Kagawa tends to rip my heart to pieces, as you pointed out. She has a gift for that.
I'm sorry I couldn't read the review (spoilers and all), but I just really wanted to comment and... well, here is my comment :D Zoey Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09999029471105415165noreply@blogger.com
